Prep Transition Program
New Prep students are welcomed to Ss Peter & Paul’s in May when they come in with their parents for a meeting with the school Principal. In October the children attend a transition program every week for three weeks. During these sessions the children meet their teacher and their class members. They sing, dance and complete fun activities. The children are given the opportunity to spend time playing with their peers. They visit areas of the school like the library, toilets and playground to make them feel at ease about their new adventure.
Buddy Program
On the first day of Prep students are assigned a Year Six Buddy. The Buddies then take the new prep students out to the playground for their first play at Ss Peter & Paul’s. Every second week the prep students spend time working in class with their Year Six Buddy. The relationships established form an important bond for the children.

Hear from Our Community
"We’ve been so impressed with the thought, time and energy the teachers put into their teaching. The teachers' encouragement, patience and care have had such a positive impact on our children."
Daniella, Parent
"I am forever grateful that SSPP has provided a friendly and supporting environment for my two children. During the lockdown, school had tried so many ways to connect with children. We all loved the Karaoke lunch, dance lunch, Trivia night as well the Italian cooking via Google meet / Zoom. Teachers showed much enthusiasm working with youth online. Now my little one has grown up being a caring person and considerate of others. Thank all teachers to make learning so much fun. As well as my sincere thank for our dear principal, Trish. Her leadership and positive attitude have helped pull us through. We feel very fortunate to have you as our principal during these challenging times."
